Lesotho 2026: Day 2
Dumela to everyone at home! Today was an awesome day, as it was my birthday! While I was sad not to be able to celebrate with my family, I am so thankful for my Lesotho family for making my birthday extra special. When I went to breakfast this morning, I found a card signed by everyone, which was so sweet! This evening, the Mantsebo Guest House decorated the dining room and even made a chocolate cake, ending the day in a way that made me feel very special.
Besides the birthday celebrations, we went to Touching Tiny Lives today to work on painting the children鈥檚 bedrooms. My group is working on the 鈥渄ay鈥� room. It feels really rewarding knowing that we are making progress and will be able to make a positive impact on the community here. I鈥檓 looking forward to completing this project and am confident in how it will turn out!
Working and spending time with my new friends has been an amazing experience, and I can鈥檛 wait to see what the rest of this trip has in store for us.
