Cynthia Richards holds the Veler Endowed Chair in English and directs the Health Humanities and Equity Minor. Her scholarship covers 18th-century British and early American literature, health humanities, narrative medicine, and trauma literature, including the intersection of health care and literature and the enduring appeal of Jane Austen.
